Tim Armstrong has posted another song from his upcoming solo release under the name Tim Timebomb and Friends. This newest song is a cover of country artist Wayne Carson Thompson's 1967 single, "The Letter."

I noticed on iTunes, that he has like 12 singles. Why not just put on one whole album?

Starting last week he was putting them up on iTunes, 7 at a time and once a week. I'm sure a physical version will be out sooner or later. Rancid is my favorite band and I don't have an iPod or iTunes so I would like to eventually own the tracks, even if he does a $50 download for 100+ songs down the road on rancidrancid.com.

Strangely no, which is odd because I listen to more 60's rock than I do punk, and I especially that sub-genre (Zombies, Del Shannon, Animals, etc), and I like Alex Chilton's other work. So this track was way up my alley.

I'm a pretty big fan of anything Tim does (bar that shit with Dickhead Rob) and I usually like his slurred vocals, but this is fucking ridiculous. I enjoy the music he's making here, but as soon as he starts to "sing" it all falls flat. He never used to be this bad. Still, the whole concept of this project is pretty awesome, so kudos to him for that.
