Videos: NOFX: “Xmas Has Been X'ed”

NOFX have released a video for their song "Xmas Has Been X'ed," just in time for the holidays. The song appears on the band's latest album, Self Entitled . The song is also due out on an EP of the same name on January 15, 2013.

Seriously. They're getting so fucking lazy. I've heard Mike sing that melody at least a half dozen times. The video is cool though. I kinda want to see and/or play in a concert on a bus.

The old expression "Never meet your heros" applies here (in my experience). I'll never make the mistake of talking to Mike at a show anymore. Come to think of it, maybe there is some tie-in with the whole S&M shit and being a dick to me, and his audience. I saw them in Sacramento Monday, and Walnut Creek Saturday (the video shoot). It's a good thing I don't have any civic pride; he just disparaged Sac for not having any good punk bands in it's history. Even Melvin Tweeted a graphic that was a send up of their set list which basically mocked the fact that their set is now 90% the same.
After having to use a teleprompter for "Ribbed", a show which was recorded for future release, fuck him. I don't even think he resents his fans so much as he resents the fact that because as the only band member that gets song writing/lyric credit, he probably tours out of guilt so the other three can pay their mortgage.

Not a bad video. It must have been easy to pull this one off around the 20,000 drunk college students in union square for Santacon last week. SF, baby!

Had a couple laughs in it. I don't really understand the concept of the shoot -- well, besides a bunch of people dressed up like santa. It seems like most of the footage was taken from the blooper reel. Like most things NOFX: They could have tried a little harder.

Honestly, this is one of the best videos they've ever done. I'm glad they went with one of the four decent songs on Self Entitled.

agreed, 9/10. I think xmas was a weaker track on strong record..songs about fatty arbuckle and the sneeches by dr suess..awesome. down with the ship would ve been my pick for a video but this was pretty comical.

This song is good, this album is good, this band is good. I'm so sick of all the hate for NOFX, nobody likes punk music anymore and it sucks. All we get are top ten lists with shitty folk bands and pop music. Oh we'll, new BR soon...

You're right, the song is good, the album is good, and the band is good. I think the people that are taking the time to post comments about a band like NoFX are the long time fans that are used to seeing shows where the singer/songwriter isn't just such a flagrant dick. At least with NoFX I can tell the difference between Self-Entitled and Ribbed as opposed to whatever Pennywise has last shit out.
Like I mentioned in my post above, I saw them twice last week, and were it not for the fact that Teenage Bottlerocket are the awesomest live band I've ever seen, both nights were shitty NoFX shows. Not shitty because of Hefe, Melvin, or Smelly, but because the band has a singer that looks like he's a drugged up Justin Bieber at the end of a 3 year tour, except it's only a two week tour.
