Reel Big Fish

Reel Big Fish have unveiled a video for their cover of Van Morrison's classic "Brown Eyed Girl." The song appeared on the band's 2010 compilation A Best of Us...for the Rest of Us, but the version here contains new vocals from new band member Matt Appleton.

My sister in law lives in Reston and one of my best friends lives in DC so I would have a place to stay. I would not have a place to stay in Philly though so DC it is.

After fans hated 'Cheer Up', RBF stopped trying and fell back on their gimmicky "Party Like It's 1997" sound and aesthetic, ramming it into the ground with countless rerecordings and live albums until practically everyone but Aaron left, leaving them not just a shadow of their past selves, but damned to wander the plane of the living recycling their own material for as long as '90s nostalgia will pay their rent.

Seriously, that's THE reason? Get real. I'd think the main reason would be that turds don't get you high.

I don't know what a burning turd smells like, but I'm willing to bet it smells way better than burning crack or freebase. That shit is the WORST smell on earth (unless you're a 'head or a baser). What you should say is "That's why I don't use turd perfume" or something. If there are actually turds that get you high, though, let the cat (turds?) out of the bag, for fuck's sake.

Such forced enjoyment on their faces. This really is the most irrelevant and unneccessary song/video ever (re)recorded. Don't get me wrong, when I was first getting into punk/ska I had some great times watching RBF in the early and even mid-00's but this is tragic.

Here's an uninteresting story:
The liner notes to one of their first albums contained an AOL email address. So, I found the person (the bass player at the time) online and exchanged a few pleasantries with the guy. Flash forward a few years and Fat Wreck Chords is having their Bah Mitzva at the Great American in SF (NoFX, Lagwagon , NUFAN, and Propaghandi). The bass player (Matt?) hooked me up with tickets to this Bah Mitzva that was a private party. Highlight of the night was Hefe getting irate with Mike for saying, "Thank you very much; we're going to go do a bunch of cocaine now".

i took a chance and went to see reel big fish on wednesday and i was shocked that it was packed front to back and it was a really fun show... so although i feel that they guys are a sad version of there former selves the show was still a good time.
