Tours: The Selecter / Lee “Scratch” Perry (West Coast)

Seminal UK ska band, The Selecter have announced a run of dates on the west coast to coincide with their Coachella performances in April. Tapped to support is the legendary producer and performer, Lee "Scratch" Perry.

It genuinely depresses me just how vastly uninterested I've become in this. All those years of my adolescence, nurturing a steadfast devotion to ska music and racking up an impressively massive CD collection, and nowadays I can't even be bothered to preorder tickets for a band who made one of my top 5 ska albums.

I mean, I'll go and likely have a good time, but man, it's painful to realize that you're getting old, in that "changing tastes/priorities" kind of way. Couldn't even make the 10-minute drive for The Toasters this year.*heavy sigh*

You can do that at the Hot Water Music show in Santa Ana next week; I'm 46% more likely to attend that one, anyways. Maybe. Unless you're going to see Steve Hackett in La Mirada on April 1, 'cuz I'll definitely be there.
