Silverstein have posted the video for their new song, "Massachusetts." The song is set to appear on the band's upcoming full-length, This is How the Wind Shifts, due out February 5, 2013.

I actually like, and make positive comments, about a good number of bands. Just so happens, I think most of the "holy cows" of this site are complete and utter garbage. And, I like a lot of the posters. As much as I butt heads with givemeamusemandillfillit, I find him very interesting and insightful. Same with Misenthropee and a couple of other people. And I've been coming to this site for at least 10 years and I'll seen many many posters come and go, and many trends come and go.

Yeah, I think our little thing looks way worse from an outside perspective.
I know exactly where you're coming from and we're here for the same reasons. I do find that your negative comments are a bit too dismissive at times because I know that you know more than most people on here what it's like to actually be in a band in this day and age. That's seriously the only gripe I've ever had with you.

Seeing trends come and go is awesome, isn't it? Remember when Vaux and The Kinison were going to be the biggest bands in the world?! Remember The F-Ups?!

Sure didn't.
I worked a few months for a label just as they picked up Vaux for the european market and that advance was absolutely ridiculous. Sure, it was 6 figures, but it was for distribution for a record that fucking Volcom had already released. Absolutely unheard of.

If my memory serves me correctly, that second record got stuck in purgatory for a few years and the bassist now works as an underwear model. Awesome.

Come on! He likes plenty of stuff. His tastes are in perfect sync with what hardcore message boards are buzzing about!!!
He'll also be the first one to tell you when those bands have lost it (read: 2.5 months after the hype started).

I visit this site 1) out of habit 2) to see what people like because it influences my own personal work. That's normally a bad thing, but I over-edit to ludicrous extents due to my low self-esteem, so it's just nice to see that people actually do like/care about certain thnigs.

I actually like, legitimately like, very few modern hardcore bands, although I think most are more valid than given credit for here. You and I, I believe, have far more in common, musically, than I do with the bridge 9 board people. In fact, if you are who I think you are, I've definitely been into some of the stuff you've done.

I'm pretty sure we've got a lot in common, including those bands. I even like all that stuff that's essentially just Suffocation in Bane hoodies.
