The Stooges to release ‘Ready to Die’

The Stooges have announced that they will be releasing a new album this spring. The album is titled Ready to Die and is due out April 30, 2013.

Woof. As with The Weirdness, the music is pretty good, but the lyrics are just atrocious. Does Iggy just not try anymore? Does he not have it anymore? Though, truthfully, has he written any good lyrics since The Idiot and Lust for Life?

Also, it's bad, but I think the Weirdness is better than most people say it is, particularly the bonus tracks. I think "O sole mio" is actually really good.

There are some more recent pictures of the band that does not have Ron Asheton in it (He has been dead for a while now). Excellent news though!
