The Slow Death

I think our next Fest 12 feature will finally be going up tonight. Yup.

Until then, though, let's talk new reviews. Renaldo Matadeen thinks A Loss For Words are dangerously close to squandering their potential on their new album Before It Caves:

On 2011's Sanctuary, it was apparent that there was something unexplored that if unleashed, could well put the band atop their usual billing. On Before It Caves, they try their best to bring out those elements but sadly, a few critical points are trampled on, leaving the album a tad short and feeling starved of progress from its predecessor.

Then, reader RubiksPube (heh) has like, a lot of things to say about The Slow Death's new one, No Heaven:

The songs all flow together and make the listener realize how much they hate their lives, how lonely they are, and how they can easily accept it because seriously, what's the difference? Life is life. Sometimes it is awesome and sometimes (more than not) it sucks a bag of dicks. Thorson and the Slow Death choose to write about the latter and god bless them for it.
