Les Savy Fav Seven-Inch Collection

Pitchfork Media is reporting that Les Savy Fav is collecting their seven-inch records on CD later this year. "The Les Savy Fav 7" Collection" will features 18 songs and will be released on Frenchkiss Records (owned by the Fav's Syd Butler). The songs are being collected from the band's series of puzzle-piece shaped vinyl that they've been releasing on just a whole host of labels including Sub Pop, Desoto, X-mist, The Self-Starter Foundation, Tiger Style with upcoming releases on Monitor, Suicide Squeeze, and Cold Crush. The current record in the series will drop on March 4th on Tiger Style.

This sounds supercool. Les Savy Fav is awesome. They have one of the funnest, most entertaining live shows around.

I'm a relatively recent fan of theirs so this seems like it'll be a good way to get to know them throughout their history and see if I want to keep listening. From what I've heard already, I shouldn't be disappointed.
