1-2-3-4 Go Records to release acoustic compilation

"The acoustic comp "Experiments in Audio Rocketry" is about two steps from the move at this point. There have been many trials...many tribulations but it's just about over. The line up has essentially be finalized at this point with the following bands...The Lawrence Arms, Against Me!, Ann Beretta, The Arrivals, Bad Astronaut, Billy Reese Peters, Fifth Hour Hero, Communique, The Grabass Charlestons, Gunmoll, The Influents, Jesse Michaels (Vocalist for Operation Ivy/Big Rig/Common Rider), Justin Perkins, Jerome Sosa, Kevin Seconds (of 7 Seconds!) and NOFX. Those of you who have been checking this out over the last 8 months of the process will notice a couple of drop offs and a couple big additions...namely Kevin Seconds and NOFX! Over the next two weeks I'll have the remaining 3 tracks that are still missing and it'll be off to be mastered...and then printed up. The CD version will come first and then the limited edition vinyl...probably a picture disc. To recap for those of you who don't know about this long suffering production..."Experiments in Audio Rocketry" is a comp I'm working on of all acoustic songs with mostly previously unreleased songs or unreleased acoustic versions. Anyone notice the crucial Hanoi Rocks reference? Didn't think so."

REAL PUNX wouldnt be prejudice against any type of music. REAL PUNX would at least give bands like The Transplants a try even though they wouldnt like them in the end. REAL PUNX dont say REAL PUNX.

Why the fuck are all of you idiots so opposed to acoustic music? For christ's sake, an acoustic guitar does not dictate what kind of music you play. I've made this comparison before and you dumbasses will probably make me compare it again: Foreign language is not a genre of film just as acoustic guitar is not a genre of music. If anything, REALPUNX shouldn't use electricity. Get the joke, assholes. Don't tell me this REALPUNX4LIFE shit is still lost on you. You fucking white kids are starting to pretend you appreciate hip hop again. When are you going to start pretending you appreciate other forms of good music?

Thursday Thrice Strike Anywhere Coalesce Planes Mistaken For Stars Rise Against The only reason why I would get the fearless one. I like 1234's lineup better is because it doesn't have all that shitty pop-punk bands. Ramo

honestly, i think punk is about the message and the spirit more than the instrument you used to play the music with. some of the punkest bands i've heard use a lot of weird instruments. and punk originaly started out as being a simple form of music (ala the Ramones)... nothing gets much simpler than an acoustic guitar, no fucking amps to deal with.

They play songs with electric guitars. In fact, I think most of their recorded output is done with electric guitars. Sorry.

When people describe Against Me! as an acoustic band, I think one of two things. A)They have never heard AM! and thus, pretend that they know what they're talking about. or B)Know nothing about music and can't tell the difference between a clean electric and an acoustic guitar. If you're a part A person, stop being stupid and just download some Against Me! songs. If you are a part B person, well, that's excusable, but now you know the differnce.

Yes, I realize that Against Me! uses plenty of electric, but to deny that a good portion of their music has an acoustic feel to it just seems a little short of it. Plus, I can't tell the difference between guitars that well, but acoustic has come to be more defined by the feel and sound of a song rather than the instrument used, maybe that's just me. Oh, well, I like the band, if I want to say that they focus on an acoustic sound, then whatever. El Vaquero

Bad Astonaut is perfect for this Comp and I'll hope to god that Jesse Michaels writes a song as good as "Classics Of Love", One of my favorite tunes of all time.

Grabass Charlestons are from Gainesville. I saw 'em. They were okay. Their bassist is a redneck and their drummer/singer is hard to understand, but I'm glad a FL band like them is moving up in the world. And this comp sounds cool. And I like pie.

Grabass Charlestons is an amazing band. As for FL bands moving up in the world... Hot Water Music, Against Me!, Less Than Jake, fuckin' Limp Bizkit, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers. I know there's a lot more that I'm not thinking of. So what's your point? I don't think GC are really moving up at all. They're just on a compilation. Gunmoll, Billy Reese Peters and Against Me! are all from Florida and all on this compilation. Aside from Against Me!, whom I already covered, are all of these bands moving up in the world by being on this comp? I'd like to think yes since they all rock, but I'm gonna say no.
