Hundreds of questions were posted, but most of them were of the "why do you suck so hard?" variety.
As much as I wanted to ask these questions, it was out of my hands. The PR guy who set the interview up asked the band the questions himself, and this is what we ended up with.
Click READ MORE to read Finch guitarist Randy Strohmeyer's responses to the few questions that didn't ask why he sucked. Keep in mind these are all user submissions - I did no moderating at all here. Enjoy.
Is the band named after the finch bird, if so what is the story behind that as a name?
Someone told me that the singer (Nate) uses effects to enhance his scream live, is this true?
What town has the best food?
Who would you most like to tour with next?
Recover, vox and vendetta red. Someone put that tour together for us! Wed also like to tour with death cab, sigur ros, jimmy eat world, owen and hum (although they broke up).
ARE YOU GUYS AWARE OF ALL THE SHIT THAT PEOPLE TALK ABOUT DRIVE-THRU?...IF SO HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT IT?
Stupid. If kids donít like a band that doesnít reflect on drive thru. Donít buy the records if you donít like em.
On the cover artÖDid Drive-Thru suggest that fetus in the ice cube? What does it mean?
Fuck you Ö of course it was our idea.
I saw you guys last week in Detroit and the Used opened for them. The used were a bunch of dicks, they took like 30 minutes to come out and then when they finally were on stage, they referred to them as 'the finch' and didn't say anything about them like they did the other bands there. The fans even left after the used. My question would be: How do you feel about the disrespect that the Used and their fans showed for you and did it give you incentive to blow them off the stage the way you did? Your set was way better than theirs.
ThanksÖbut we love the used. They re funny and joke around maybe you took their joke the wrong way or too seriously.
I know all of you except Randy are stoners, so, where in the US is the kindest bud?
I donít smoke..Neither does Alex but Derek told me..itís not in the US. Itís in British Columbia!
