How come no one ever covers "Oyster?" I love that song. My old band used to cover it and we totally slayed at it. -Scott 1+ Reply

I'm surprised that there isn't a contribution from The*Ataris. They've covered a few of their songs before, and Kris even has a Jawbreaker tattoo, and Blake's old amp. Also, nobody did "chesterfield kings". This album will still prtobably rock however. - Reynolds. 2+ Replies

I'm really disappoined that the Weakerthans' aren't on this one. The Jet Black Records compilation had them covering "Kiss the Bottle", which would have been amazing. I'm curious how Sparta's cover will sound. I had no idea those guys were into Jawbreaker. -p@ 3+ Replies

i'll probably buy this. does anyone know anything about this Drawn from Endings band? Jet Black is one of my favorite jawbreaker tracks, so i'm hoping they do it justice. travoltas, sparta, aeffect, and face to face should be good stuff.

i simply can't believe people like this band. it boggles my mind just as much like the people who like converge, ataris, avril lavigne, and afi. 6+ Replies

Someone (April 7, 2003)
thats only 16 songs, and the brand new logo is with all the other band logos on the site. soooo that probally means their accident prone cover will be on this too. i don't know about a lot of these bands, but i'll probally get it anyways

Completely unrelated but does anybody know about Cast Aside? I'm trying to find the song racecar theory and the ten second sample sounded so fucking cool(it was on the emo diaries vol.V), and since i don't really want to buy the whole cd for one song does anybody know where I could find it? thanks

When you know Blake has admitting to not really seeing the full beauty/dignity/motive/whatever for tributes, why would you pursue? Some of those tracks might be pretty fun, but just by principle, I'd think you'd want to be 'cool' and duck out of such an album and earn scene points with Blake. Come on, this is Blake. 2+ Replies

'I've heard The Æffect's contribution to this comp, and if it's any indication of the other tracks, we're going to be in for a treat.' well, considering the aeffect and sparta are the only decent bands on this comp, youre probably horribly mistaken... brand new must die

Can anyone name a good tribute album? I'm having trouble remembering one...if there any. I always thought the originals are far more worthy of your time. Especially in the case of Jawbreaker. What about Weezer's tribute? Ramones? Duran Duran? The list goes on...not impressive in the least | Features
