Jello Biafra: "Land of 1,000 Dances"

We've got a special stream for you today! Back in 2011, Bill Davis of Dash Rip Rock challenged Jello Biafra to fly out to New Orleans Jazz Fest and record an entire set of garage rock, blues, roots and frat rock tunes. Jello took Davis up on the offer and, on May 8, 2011, Jello Biafra, along with a crack band including Davis, Fred LeBlanc, Pete Gordon, Brian Broussard, Pepper Keenan, Josh Cohen, Paul Grass, Eric Belletto, Glenn Barberot and Mike Joseph, blasted through a full set of 'Nawlins classics.

And, thank Poppa Legba, but the entire set was recorded. It's a wild, frantic, wonderfully sloppy take on these classics as performed by an eleven piece band. "House of the Rising Sun," "Workin' in a Coal Mine," "Mother in Law," "Judy in Disguise"-- they're all there!

We're absolutely thrilled to debut the track "Land of 1,000 Dances" off the brand new Walk on Jindal's Splinters live LP. It's out today via Alternative Tentacles Records and you order it here.

Meanwhile, you can hear the new track right here.
