As The Velvet Teen are taking a break from conquering Earth as a unit and have each gotten involved in side projects. From the Slowdance Records newsletter:
"Judah = Atair
Judah teams up with a an old digital friend (Robocop? Vickie the Robot?), his laptop, and creates stunning electronic/pop under the moniker Atair. Look for a CD release of Atair sometime later this year on Slowdance, plus tourdates as well. You will be amazed how good this record is going to be.
Josh = The New Trust
Teaming up with his wife, and some other people I don't know all that well, Josh & The New Trust are playing out over the next few months in the Bay Area. Go see them and then tell me what they sound like, because he never tells me anything.
Logan = Logan Whitehurst & The Jr. Science Club
That sneaky little monkey, Logan has teamed up with just about everyone in indie-rock (members of The Velvet Teen, Tsunami Bomb, Death Cab for Cutie, Asahi and some more HUGE acts that are too top secret to announce right now) for "Goodbye, My 4-Track," a CD due out July 1st on Pandacide Records. Logan will also be doing some touring as well. Once we get the dates, we'll post them."
If you still miss The Velvet Teen as a group, you can relive the memories of seeing them live by buying a limited edition tour poster available here. I'm ordering mine right now [even though the bastards keep avoiding the Midwest like the plague].

These guys are awesome and deserve a ton of success. There are some new tour dates posted at slowdance.com...all Bay Area I think. Speaking of side projects, has anyone heard Hanalei with Brian from The Ghost? I've only heard the mp3 at theghostband.com/hanalei but it's really growing on me.
