According to the New York Times, ABC No Rio will close its current location in June. The building is being demolished for a new construction project which includes million dollar condos. ABC No Rio has stated that they will "go into exile," but plan to re-open at another location, which was described as an "environmentally friendly new structure where artists will continue to present the same type of boundary-pushing material that has become the center’s hallmark."
