The Smugglers reuniting for The Lookouting at 924 Gilman

Grant Lawrence of Vancouver's The Smugglers has announced that his band will play their first show in over 12 years at an event scheduled for the historic 924 Gilman venue called "The Lookouting." The Berkley, CA show will feature a number of veteran acts from the now-defunct Lookout Records family performing between January 6th and 8th of 2017. Other bands performing include Corrupted Morals, Jüke and Wynona Riders with more to be announced. You can find some information at Facebook.

The Smugglers last released Mutiny In Stereo back in 2004. Since their active period vocalist Grant Lawrence has worked as a radio personality with the CBC. bassist Kevin "Beez" Beesley co-owns Mint Records while guitarist David Carswell operates the JCDC recording studio in Vancouver with former Smugglers bassist (and New Pornographers member) John Collins.
