Street Dogs Release Date

us that on their currently under-construction website Mike McColgan's Street Dogs have confirmed that their debut record "Savin Hill" will be released on September 23rd. As previously reported Cross Check Records will be releasing the album and has the song "Fighter" online. The Street Dogs will be playing with Dirty Water at the Darkbuster reunion show on July 12th at the Axis in Boston, MA.

Yeah this is defenitly gonna be way better than the most recent DKM cd...by far.Just by hearing the one song I already know.Well it wouldnt take much to be better.

Blackout wasn't a disapointment. I don't think it would be a good album to introduce someone to DKM, though. That would go to Sing Loud, Sing Proud! Blackout is the defintion of the DKM's sound.

I quite liked Blackout. It wasn't as immediate as Sing Loud but there's a lot of great songs on there.

Hey you know what I heard... Mike Mc Colgan has nothing to do with the Dropkick Murphys anymore. You know what else I heard... all you guys ever want to do is say how bad the Murphys are and say how much better something that has one once of relation to the Murphys is.Why not talk about how good the Street Dogs are.... idiots.

Actually Mike McClogan are still close with the guys in the murphys. Al and Ken actually sing on one of the songs on the upcoming album.

actually i think Mike still is close with DKM. He was hanging out with James Lynch (dkm guitar) after a recent show i was at... and he did lend some guest vocals to the DKM set on St. Paddy's day this year

Yes, I know he is still close. But that has nothing to do with the fact that Street Dogs and Murphys should not be compared so closely. That was my only point that I quite make that clearly. Sorry.

Things like this can't be helped. When a former member of a high profile band starts another band, they're going to be compared.

We played with the Dogs at an Irish Prisoner benefit in Prov, and let me tell you, yer all in for a treat when this record hits. A hint...be on the lookout for "Cut Down on The 12" www.theparaplegics.com

Very true, I have a copy of their demo and cut down is the best song on it, and they're all really fucking good.
