us that the Orange Island / Garrison split has now been
completed. The CD will be availible from the bands this summer and in stores on
September 2nd:
"This is the first installment of the Iodine Split Series. Boston's
most well known rock bands Orange Island and Garrison go head to head
covering each other's songs, although adding their own sound and style.
What was originally supposed to be a split seven-inch, is now a
specially low priced split CD Single, featuring 2 songs from each band... Longtime friends, both bands have been playing together for years,
and have even shared members at times. Now that both bands feature
members of the now disbanded The Chase Scene, the idea of doing a split
release came to rise. A competition to see who could make the other
band's song more bad-ass."
