Biafra Joins Rollins On Stage

us that at last night's "Rise Above" concert in San Francisco, Henry Rollins invited Dead Kennedy's frontman Jello Biafra up on stage to announce the winner of the signed Rise Above guitar. Immediately following the announcement, Jello lent his vocals to the Black Flag's "Jealous Again."

(as this was a fan report, I don't have a very concrete source for this. If you were at the show, give us a shout)

I was at that show and it was amazing! The most exciting part though was the opening band KillRadio who came out of nowhere and blew the audience away. Jello was hanging out with them all night. Apparently Keith Morris hand picked them from Los Angeles. I became a huge Killradio fan that night and now I'm obsessed. Of course they are being fu%ked by Anti Flag who signed them and is trying to get a bunch of money from them to leave after they have done nothing for them except lie. damn, I get shivers just thinking about how good they were and Keith Morris, Rollins and Jello who ended the night stage diving into the audience.

Yep, the whole night was awesome. Jello finished off the night with a nice stage dive. Rollins ripped it up and Keith Morris is always cool. So many punk legends, one little stage, a historic event. Even the opener,KillRadio, was cool. I was ready to boo them off stage, but I ended up buying their cd, pretty f-ing cool. Checck them out www.killradiorevolution.com i only include this because there are so few new bands out there that are actually worth listening to.

Rollins has to have his finger on the pulse or something, because he found this bad ass band to open up for him. I almost got to the show late because the first band usually blows, but I'm glad I saw them. KillRadio kicked so much ass. By the time they were finished the whole crowd was behind them. The entire show was incredible.

i saw a preview for bad boys 2 and he's in it. HENRY ROLLINS IS IN BAD BOYS 2. i mean i liked damage and everything... but come on!

I'm still giddy from the Chicago show. Played an excellent set, and an encore of Ramones songs! Seriously, it couldn't be better! "There is one truth in this universe, and it is... SHEENA IS A PUNK ROCKER!"

I was there. Excellent show. Jello spoke for five minutes or so, drew the raffle winner, sang Jealous Again, and dove into the crowd. Rollins came back on stage and they closed the show with Rockaway Beach by the Ramones. I left in awe of seeing Keith Morris, Henry Rollins, and Jello Biafra all within the span of an hour.

Rollins & Biafra onstage together....with Keith?!? Sounds like a punk rock wet dream. I'm guessing this is the first time jello has performed in a while. I don't know why Henry get's flak for his film "career"....I think it's punker than anything, if you knew what he thought of it, you'd feel the same. He basically sees the whole thing as a joke that he is getting paid $$$ for....what can be more punk rock than that. Fucking with those rich hollywood bitches and getting paid for it. Sounds good to me.

after some shit happened with the band, brandon has decided to stay at home with his family and work on new dr. know material. the rest of the band is still going to go o ut on tour with another new guy. brandon has also stated that his decision was based on the fact that dead kennedys told him they would not be doing a new album. cruz has been quoted as saying if nothing new was going to be done, he was quitting. so there you have it. no more cruz in dead kennedys. go jello.

For the dudes arguing about the movies rollins has been in....here's the list- lost highway, jack frost, the new kid, bad boys 2, the chase, johnny mnuemonic, heat, morgan's ferry......along with countless straight to video and indie releases. Couple of funny notes- Oliver Stone is quoted as saying that, if he would have known Henry earlier, he would have given him the lead in "Natural Born Killers".....he was also the runner up to play the retarded boxer in "Death To Smoochy". Why do I know all of this? It's easy, look at the website lol.

I rememeber hearing about Henry in "Death to Smoochy". I think he was on the Daily Show or his stand-up special, trying to explain it. A lot of yelling, screaming, jumping.....
