There are times when a band should stop making music, when they're past their prime and not doing anything good or original anymore. Do you realize that this is that time for you? Didn't you hear the latest craze was emo, why are you playing pop-punk? Why was the Hazen St. song on the Warped comp one of the lamest songs I've ever heard? 6+ Replies
Someone (July 4, 2003)
If you could go back and do it again, would you have signed to MCA or stayed on Epitaph?
mRoHio (July 4, 2003)
Why do all the crappy bands linger and release way too many albums (Dashboard Confessional, any emo band, New Found Glory, H20) and all the good bands only last for a brief second (the Clash (only 7 years!), Common Rider, Operation Ivy, Stockyard Stoics)? 6+ Replies
tiff (July 4, 2003)
You guys are all fucking assholes. H2O are the nicest guys ever, and you guys are all full of yourselves. They're not proud of that shit from MCA, and they are greatful to have been dropped... So shut up unless you have a real question.... losers. 6+ Replies

Where can I get this: http://www.epitaph.com/bands/index.php?id=227 ? Maybe H20 knows. 2+ Replies

its funny how the people who say mean negative shit about h20 probably own one there records and if they met any of them theyd be nice to there face.a bunch of little rich hot topic punks trying to have a opinion, get a life!good for h20 ,theve made a living off of playing what they believe in ,for the last 8 years. 4+ Replies
Someone (July 4, 2003)
if any of you had a clue, youd know that on h20s first record they had poppy songs,i know why.scene report.it was always h20s lyrics that were more hxc.good charlotte, nfg, blink and simple plan thats pop-punk!get your ears checked or get a clue.even better listen to all of h20s records in order and hear the natural progression.not the drastic..afi,suicide maschines ec... 1+ Reply

With your name being the compound for water and all, how do you feel about the latest craze with bottled water? Do you feel that those who drink bottled water or water in triangle paper cups from jugs are pussies compared to tough-guy well water? Also, if we were doing an analogy, would you do yours something like: H2O:water::MCA Execs:Brita ? Just curious. 2+ Replies
Someone (July 4, 2003)
with your obvious lack of talent and intersting lyrics/songwriting, what keeps you fueled and inspired to keep making shitty albums and getting shit thrown at you (touring)?
FortyMinutesWest (July 4, 2003)
If you guys are really faster than the world why don't you go back in time and stop yourselves from signing to MCA? 1+ Reply
bruceless (July 4, 2003)
With the greatly directional fan reaction from Go!, as well as your endeavours with MCA, have you felt a compulsion to return to "oldschool h2o style" (as your website states) to appease old fans left unsatisfied from the MCA experiences? Face to Face attempted this after a largely experimental album, and the only result was what seemed to be a half-hearted album that existed more for the fans than to reflect the band's genuine state of being.
bruceless (July 4, 2003)
Do you have any interesting stories from your tour with Boxcar Racer? Did you find that you really fit in well with the people in the bands and the crowd?
THAT_GUY (July 4, 2003)
When are you going on tour again ? And this time, please make it with good bands, that date you did in Houston last Feb. woulda been good, minus Mest - H20,Next to Nothing,Bigwig, get N2N back together, and throw that tour together again.I missed it,so do it again, but replace Mest with Rise Against or Explosion,or better yet,get Op Ivy back, and go on tour like that - H20 Operation Ivy Bigwig Rise Against The Explosion Tell me that wouldn't be a badass tour, and EVERYONE would wanna go,it's something for everyone. And everything for me.OK,it's not my DREAM tour, but it's still damn good.Plus,Operation Ivy getting back together would be a dream, and it'd be even cooler if they got Common Rider togther, and toured with them.Ok,I'm gonna shut up and go to work. 4+ Replies

With the Mighty Mighty Bosstones as few of the first people to give H2O their first real break, while Toby and Dicky both wear tattoos of the other band; are H2O and the Bosstones still in contact and can we expect to see a reunion between the bands anytime soon?
bruceless (July 4, 2003)
What was the inspiration behind the birth of Hazen St... Was it felt that the greater pop sense of H2O's MCA releases did not fit the character of the band, and would be better represented if brought to a different band, such as Hazen St.? Was there any conflict amonst H2O regarding the band's changes in sound with Go! and All We Want, leading to Hazen St.? What are the other guys reaction to the new band? 1+ Reply

h20(go)was quote: davie afi and lars fredricksons(both on majors now)favorate h20 release.if you think for one minute that afi/rancid listen to only hxc/punk and dont get inspired by emo, pop, johnny cash,u2 or even hip hop, your all sadly mistaken.go was h20s fasting selling and biggest record to date.although the first one sold over 150,000 copies(mostly in indy chains).go soundscanned the most.keep it postive and openminded.when asking questions to h20. 8+ Replies

Despite your band name, I have never seen you guys drinking or engulfed in water, In perhaps the Mississippi while wearing cement shoes. Why is that? 1+ Reply

Is your guitar player actually named Rusty Pistaccio? How much shit must you get from that? 1+ Reply

the jump to mca was a stupid, ridiculous, and hypocritical move. i am perfectly willing to acknowledge the possibility that they bailed on mca rather than mca kicking their asses to the curb, because mca records is dead.
mca is now a part of geffen records, and geffen is going to drop a grip of bands, as well as kill the mca name. drive thru is also now a part of geffen. so jumping ship makes a lot more sense than sinking with the label only to end up dropped by geffen anyway. plus, geffen has had a history of being a shitty label with shitty label/artist relationships, as well as a consistently shitty roster.
so anyway... i guess the questions would be:
does every punk band that releases an album on mca have to dilute their sound to the point of irrelevance?
would you have felt comfortable releasing "go" on epitaph?
do you have any plans of returning to the fucking show rest of comment 4+ Replies

This is a serious question, I'm not being "funny", I preferred Go to any other release. I'd like to know how it feels to know that you have in fact lost almost all of your original 'hard-core' of fans that you've always trumpeted so much. Do you honestly think moving to an indie label is going to win back the fans you alienated by changing your sound? 3+ Replies
Someone (July 4, 2003)
2 questions: 1) What was the best full tour you've ever done? (Warped's dont' count). 2) Why are so many fucking people on punknews.org total fuckin' moronic bastards??? 1+ Reply

are you guys aware or do you even care that you are receiving all this backlash from your so called "fans"?
Someone (July 4, 2003)
ask toby if he has set a new record for "throwing the rope"* since 8 feet. *throwing the rope was brought up by lars in destroy all magazine. he told a story of how toby could shoot a turd out of his ass 8 feet and plunk it in the toilet.
joeg (July 4, 2003)
1. when's your next record coming out 2. what label are you guys on 3. what were your thoughts on the tours with big mainstream bands like sum 41 and boxcar racer? how well were you guys received?
The-Ice-Master (July 5, 2003)
First... Toby, hows the family. Congrats on the kid. Second... Do you think theres a chance that the road might find you out with Sick Of It All or any number of NYHC bands. Three... It seemed that "go" was a different sound than FTTW, which album in your history are you most proud of and really speaks to how h2o really exists... H2O Rocks, come to Poughkeepsie as soon as possible!
Someone (July 5, 2003)

How did it feel to play on Conan? Does he actually like any of the bands that play on his show? Are you guys gonna do anything like that again soon?
