"Triple Crown Records has just announced its newest addition to the label - Boston quartet Orange Island. The band has already released 2 records on Iodine Recordings, and has been seen this past year on tour with Brand New, The Movielife, and Taking Back Sunday. They have just finished recording their debut full length for Triple Crown at Salad Days in Washington DC, and will hit the stores on October 7th. Orange Island will be touring all this upcoming fall and winter in support of the release."

you forgot the fact that the label only signed them so they could get 2 million dollars from the major label who is going to want to buy them. 1+ Reply

Well, can't say I'm surprised, but Orange Island is a good, hardworking band. I'm glad they're going to get more recognition now.

yeah, they are soooooo deserving and such hardworkers. they put out their first full length like a year ago and went on tour with brand new. that's the definition of "hard working" in punk rock. a whole 18 months worth. wow.

They toured for years by themselves and with plenty of small unknown bands. They used to tour with Brand New way before anyone cared about them, and only continued to tour with them because they are good friends. They are an extremely hardworking band. dont be so quick to judge. 5+ Replies

if by hardworking you mean go on tour with big bands, write boring records that have been done a million times before, look cute, and have a big shot manager... then yeah, they're hardworking. by any other standard they would be a bullshit band who go signed to a major label way too soon. so disposable. joke. 3+ Replies

i see this band: a) getting a totally rad online street team b) going on a billion tours with big bands c) putting out a record full of re-hashed nu-emo/pop punk bullshit d) lots of 16 year olds talking about how sweet they are 8 months from now it's boring when it's this predictable.
