Are you actually trying to JUSTIFY the actions of the 9/11 terrorists? Whatever a country's foreign policy is, how does killing innocent people constitute any type of rational wake up call? The Americans who died in that attack were everyday civilians, probably just like you. Terrorists would make no distinction between the American military, the American government, or its civilians, just like how they'd make no disctinction between their next intended target and you. You would be no exception, and you very well could have been one of the victims of a terrorist attack. Would you still feel as comfortable saying what you just did if you knew that you could be the next casualty? I'm not trying to justify it in the slightest, I even called it a 'disaster' in my original post. however you have to ask yourself why there are so many people in the world willing to die in order to hurt america? if america had used all the money it's spent in iraq to actually help developing countries rather than spending it on bombs, the chances of something like this reoccuring would be far smaller than they are now. that is what I meant by a 'wake up call'. as for 'growing up'... I'm 21, have graduated from one of the best universities in my country, and now own and run a web design company. what are you upto ?

Well Iraq is a good example. Other Arab countries' protests against the US are about more run of the mill things like support for Israel. Those protests are certainly less justified than anti-american protests in Iraq because we 'control' and are responsible for it as the occupying force. And as the occupying we are responsible for the fact they do not have power, or good water, or movement towards a civilized society.
