A quick couple of things to straighten out. First, sorry to anyone who showed up in Ohio thinking we were going to play with the Virus. It was complete bullshit. Sometimes people will put our name on a flyer to get more kids to show up. Which sucks, cause it makes us look like the bad guy. A second thing, there is a Casualties live record that was released on Liberation Records. This was put out without our permission, and it down right sounds like shit. So do not buy it. If you do you will be getting ripped off. We are not he only bands dealing with this. Anti-Flag, and I think the Swingin Utters, are as well.

us that the Casualties have also spoken out against a live record released by Anaheim's Liberation Records. The release in question is Live at the Fireside Bowl. Anti-Flag previously made a statement on the release, which warrented a rebuttle on Liberation's website. The Casualties' website also cleared up any confusion about a recent Ohio show (or lack thereof):

At the last Causualties show, they were selling this cd at their merch table. I dont get it.

I dont get this... if it is an unauthorized sale of copy-righted material, isn't that illegal? Cant they take any action to make it stop, or sue? if i took their songs, and burnt them on cd's and sold them for profit, without giving anything to the band, surely i would be breaking the law... Someone clear this up for me? 1+ Reply

haha i actually like the casualties. and in terms of live shows, they come in a close second behinde rancid. but come on its an acquired taste and well they aren't the greatest band. i just think its funny how they complain about sounding bad. it must be REALLY bad.

Uh... The Swingin' Utters were selling the CD at their merch table when I saw them last sunday. So I don't think they're against it. 1+ Reply

All of their stuff sounds like shit, so how is this more of a rip off than anything else they've released? 4+ Replies

Some of you may have recently come across a statement by Anti Flag about the recently released Live at the Fireside Bowl CD. We feel the statement was misleading and unfair, and want to tell our side of the story.
Just to clarify some major points:
(1) Liberation DID and DOES have permission in writing to release this album, or else we wouldn't put it out.
(2) Anti Flag HAS and DOES receive compensation for the release, and there is no reason for them to state otherwise.
Any statement to the contrary is either a lie or is confused.
This is the first time we have ever heard anything remotely resembling a complaint from this band, even though the songs have been out as part of Liberation's VMLive at the Fireside catalog for over 4 years.
If Anti Flag has a problem with the Live at t show rest of comment 1+ Reply

anyone who pays money for this deserves to get ripped off. especially the anti-flag one. theres only 4 fucking songs on it and i saw it at a record store for 12.99. same with the swingin utters one. ~Zäk 1+ Reply

Sometimes people will put our name on a flyer to get more kids to show up. Which sucks, cause it makes us look like the bad guy. My friend's band played that show. I'm glad I didn't go. The Virus would have been the only redeeming quality. 2+ Replies

Whats the casulties and anti flags problem? These live discs are pretty scarce, and theres not too many distros that carries them. You don't see other bands like apoclaypse hoboken bitching about their liberations LIVE CD.
