alright..if I'm understanding the quote right, its saying that people put boundaries on music..and music should have no boundaries. So you dont like AWK..I can live with that..I understand that he doesnt write deep, intellectual songs concerning important issues such as inbreeding and rubber women. But by saying that he has no talent (which he does..Ive seen the man live), Arent you setting a boundary for music. AWK expresses himself the way he wants to express himself..and a lot of people like it. Its like you're setting a point or a "boundary" that musicians must surpass to be considered talented...and really who made you the judge of that anyway. I hope this helps explain what I meant

um.. you're really misunderstanding the english language we've all agreed upon..... my feeling is that he's a no talent loser and i hate him. i HAVE seen him live (warped tour 03, george WA) and he is a huge disappointment. my feelings in no way limit his music or anyone else's opinion of his music. so again, i'd have to say that you're point is irrelevant... and as a response to your mocking two songs of mine, there is a different circumstance to each of those that makes your point less sturdy.. okay, here goes.. A.) The Inbreeding Song was a song written by a band i was in in 1996. I was 15. That particular recording is new, because I felt nostaligia for the band and the song. I do not make any claims that it is a solid fantastic song, but it is what it is. B.) Rubber Woman was written in response to a horrible experience I had with a girl that I took to the prom

Sure, its not terribly deep, but I also wrote it before I truly became aware of how serious music is to me. A lot of people like those two songs (mostly friends and family of course), and I make no apologies for them. They're old songs, and when I wrote them I felt a certain way. I also don't hold a grudge that you thought they were immature, because you were partially correct, but its not like I'm a professional rockstar. I have no obligation to be a role model or a good musician. I just think that if I was offered the chance to play in front of a bunch of kids, I'd take it a little more seriously than AWK does. I never said you couldn't like him. Feel free. I don't even hate you for it. My quote, on the other hand, had to do with genres and classification of music. It is human nature to classify everything. And even I myself am not above falling prey to such things. Our world is built on relative classification. I'm only human. My quote stands strong. I don't take it back and I try to live up to it, every chance I get.

how can you possibly say andrew wk doesnt take his playing in front of people seriously? he truly loves the music the energy AND the fans. He does it all for them. Ive seen him twice after the show at the Crowbar (state college PA) he hung out and hugged anyone that wanted to stand in a huge line waiting for him he loves all of his fans and treats them as such he is serious about what he does
