"Tim from NJHC band Ensign will be temporarily filling Skinhead Rob's vocal shoes during "Red Hot Moon" on Rancid's Indestructible tour for a week of shows starting November 20, 2003. Ensign will also be opening for Rancid in early December show in upstate NY. Ensign's latest release, a covers album entitled "LoveThe Music, Hate The Kids" is available on Blackout Records. Ensign is probably the best/my favorite straight Hardcore band. Tim is a silly one....he likes to preach. It looks like im driving up to NY somewhere...i was totally unaware ensign and rancid were even friends....Ensign kicks ass BTW....

maybe rancid should take the opportunity to cut out that shitty part of the song and make the song good. that song would be really good if there was no gay rap at the end but it's there and it fucks everything up. 8+ Replies

If I was going to the show tonight, I would be so happy that that guy isn't going to be there.

he isn't even a skinhead - skinheads are into Oi! music and wear boots, suspenders and beaters and listen to Cock Sparrer, Sham 69, The Business, Blitz, etc - Skinhead Rob wears baggy pants and mostly listens to rap - it's a farce 5+ Replies

I like Rob's vocals at the end of Red Hot Moon - I also like Rap music anyways so maybe that's why I like it. I'm also buying Rob's solo album when it's done.

A. This qualifies as news just as much as anything else you retards post. B. Rancid have been friends with all the NYHC bands since before Let's Go. SOIA, H20, Sheer Terrror, Agnostic Front, Ensign have all played shows with them over the years. Very honest and solid dudes. C. If someone is going to knitpick about some definition of skinhead that you read in some handbook, you must've forgotten the part about BEING FROM THE UK also. The blue collar system in the 60's over there was very different from what the US, so don't even go there. The term "skinhead" is what people make of it, and frankly if you want to make someone stop using the title, then prove you are REAL tough skin you are and MAKE him change it. Bet you ain't and bet you can't. 1+ Reply
