Has anyone else heard that Warner has been seeking to sign these guys? 2+ Replies

obviously someone forgot to turn the suck knob down when these guys were the in the studio recording. this has got to be some of the most unoriginal ska i've ever heard. in fact, calling it ska doesn't do legimate ska bands and musicians any justice, because these guys really blow. do us a favor and don't quit your day jobs. if warner is scouting this band, that new billionaire owner of theirs should fire their entire a&r staff.

I think all ska bands and bands named after Simpsons quotes should be kicked off the planet.
Someone (December 1, 2003)
well, i won't go that far because the simpsons rule and there are some really amazing ska and ska-type bands out there. but, these guys need to be shot in the face at close range. how can anyone take this band seriously? i mean, even for a band that looks like is trying to be funny and silly, they're a sad, sad joke. i've seen more originality in the mess i leave in the toilet after some general tso's chicken from new chinatown. these guys blow, and anyone that likes this band should have their head checked for brain damage.

I saw these guys open for Flipsyde 4-20-2001. No, wait, no I didn't. I left and ate cheesey fries instead. Because they were so horrible. Worst band ever.

i like i voted for kodos...at least from the couple songs i've heard....but i can't believe that they'd be scouted by warner bros...i don't think they're that good the kiltlifters deserve it before they do. 1+ Reply

Not the most original band ever, but good poppy ska. Real Good Guys, too.

simpsons references are great but not as freeken band names. These guys and Fallout Boy should re-evaluate themselves or something... 2+ Replies

I did sound for these guys at a show in June in Rhode Island. They're not bad, and they have a killer conversion van as their tour van. Hide your girlfriends though, IV4K loves putting their stickers on nipples. It's a little odd, but hey. Oh shit, looks like they're playing with us on January 1st. I'll be doing sound there too, and probably playing. Good times. -MorphineSandwich 1+ Reply

Fallout boy and evergreen terrace got their name from the simpsons (except fallout boy denies it) im sure there are others.

Here's a funny story. This band opened for my band once upon a time in PA. Didn't think much of it. A while later we get an email from one of their girlfriends or something saying that "This influential band has broken up. She then asks us to record (with our own money) one of their songs (we've never heard them except for once live) to be on a IV4K "tribute" album. I respond saying "they haven't broken up - we played with them last week". They say, "That didn't really count". True story. I'd LOVE to hear that tribute album. How'd that work out for you guys anyhow? 1+ Reply

Honestly. Ok i freaking love I Voted For Kodos. Just because your not a fan of ska, don't bash them, and don't deny the fact they they are great musicians. Not only do they kick ass on their albums, but they are one of the best live show's i've been to. The energy at their shows is awesome. They are great guys, and i think that record companies are stupid for NOT signing them! 2+ Replies

I'm really saddend by the amount of unintelligent posts on here. You're all entitled to your opinion about their music, but instead of just saying "man they blow harder than my little sister" can't you back up your opinions with WHY you don't like their music? Reasons other than "they're unoriginal". I do agree they aren't breaking into new grounds with ska, but they arent unoriginal. The sax for instance, I haven't heard a lot of be-bop influenced sax playing in many ska bands. Nick is amazing at sax! Lee, the mellaphone/2nd guitarist/vocals, was ringleader for the UW-Madison marching band. Awsome accomplishment. All these guys are severly talented, and their past albums just don't do it for them. They're currently recording their new songs. Maybe you'll enjoy their new songs more, but NOTHING can compare to thier live shows. They are the best performing band I have ever seen, and get show rest of comment 2+ Replies
