For the most part it seems that Richmond and Gainseville are putting out the same music by the same four bands (ann beretta, hwm, strike anywhere, avail)! It all sounds the same, but I like it.

Those bands don't sound THE SAME exactly, but they do have a similar vibe. If I didn't live in Gainesville I'd want to live in RVA music-wise though, so I'm hard pressed to disagree.

just move an hour and half north to DC...DC aint the coolest, but it's a lot better than Richmond.

Thay're from Richmond, hence RVA. It'd be great if they were up here in Gainesville cause they put on a good show when I saw them with Avail.

The funny thing is that this band was originally from New Hampshire and they relocated to Richmond to cash in on the scene.

Actually they were originally from Boston. Which I am pretty sure has a pretty good music scene.

Bandwagon??? I am pretty sure the Boston scene has been around for a while. Its not some new and upcomming hip city. And another thing, I am pretty sure they are not going to quit there day jobs anytime soon because of the money they are making from "cashing in" on the RVA scene.
