A lot of rumours have been floating around about the potential retirement of Fugazi [reviews]. So, rather than let these rumours float around unsubstantiated, we called the label to find the actual story. I spoke to Alec Bourgeois, the press contact at Dischord, who explained that the band is on "hiatus" which is to say, while they haven't broken up, they have no current plans to tour or record due to personal and family commitments. Frankly, Fugazi has earned as much time off as they need, but I'm sure that we're all looking forward to their return.
