does anyone know if the Ataris heaven is falling is a cover of Bad religion's heaven is falling? i mean that song was about the first gulf war and it would be appropriate and not to mention a big fucking nod for the Ataris for covering the best band ever. oh yeah, first 5+ Replies

most of the bands i'm not too enthusiastic about but i'll still buy it cuz everything goes to rock against bush, maybe i'll give it to someone else for a gift or something.
Someone (March 4, 2004)
bullshit. I like those bands and if i want to get the music I'll have to buy it and have my money go towards a cause that I do not believe in. Thanks Fat Mike for helping me be free......... P.S. This isn't like buying a cd where the money goes towards battered women or something, this a totally subjective issue. 18+ Replies

Buying this for None More Black, Epoxies, Against me!, Soviettes, Jello Biafra, Strike Anywhere, World/Inferno Friendship Society, Billy Bragg, Social D, Descendents. Not so hot on the cause, but it should be cool.

I'm excited about the Strung Out and None More Black tunes. The Denali song is a nice surprise, although I wished Fat had selected a few more indie bands for the compilation. It just seems to me that all the pseudo-punks are going to be ragging about how track 20 doesn't belong on the comp and such...

I had a dream last night that I saw the Al3 play an hour long set @ Warped Tour. As I approached the stage I noticed that playing bass was not Dan A. but none other than everyone's fav Misfit Bashing Lawrence Arms co/songwriter Brendan K. Skiba started swinging the mic ala Roger Daltry (later lamed down by those fucking sideways havin haircut bands)and then the set was over. Barkley"not right"Barkster 2+ Replies

Im just surprised Sum 41 is releasing an unreleased song that isnt just a released Sum 41 song live. It seems like every comp I have with them on it "unreleased", its always just one of their old songs live. How pathetic 2+ Replies

Where are the fucking hardcore bands? Converge, Raised Fist or Ignite. At least SOIA or Good Riddance should be on it. Rock Against Bush should rock even harder. 1+ Reply

yeah, this sounds like it's going to be an awesome compilation. tons of bands i like, mostly unreleased tracks. what more can you ask for? but the money for this should be going towards something useful, like...john kerry's campaign! yes! 1+ Reply

1 0 5 t h c o m e n t s r u l e ! Anywho, I've had that None More Black track for months, and it is easily the best shit they have wrote so far. They were closing with it if you've seen them before, and right after "File Under Black" came out. To my knowledge, they stopped playing it in August, cause no one knew what the fuck they were doing. That is all. I'm buying this twice! 1+ Reply

i couldnt give 2 shits about this crappy compilation, i might just buy it to get the piece by david cross. clearly he's the most talented person associated with this whole thing. and i do like against me and nofx but i really dont want to hear 26 songs about how much bush sucks. i know he sucks, you know he sucks, we ALL know he sucks. give it a rest already. save it for november. 2+ Replies

I don't think that tracklisting is correct as in my interview with Brendan from the Lawrence Arms he said "We just recorded a song for the Rock Against Bush comp that fat and Punkvoter are putting out. It's called "Necrotism: Decanting the Insalubrious (Cyborg Midnight) Part VII" http://www.punkandjunk.com/interviews/interview.php?id=45 4+ Replies

Alright now that everyone knows who is, and who isn't going to buy it.
Let's talk about the fun stuff.
The Punk Voter Awards nominees:
Best title track: 01. None More Black – "Nothing To Do When You’re Locked In A Vacancy
Worse Title track:02. Sum 41 – "Moron" (unreleased)
Band that this will do the most for: Ataris, if this is an unreleased Bad Religion cover, it might earn them some crediability to those "true punks". I am indifferent toward them, but them seem to be a band that is only getting bigger. I say it takes 3 solid cds to really make a band into a well known name - Ataris is welcome to that club.
Band this will help the least: Sum41, talk about a band going down the toliet. The title track reflects this.
Strangest Band on Here: Ministry
Most Annoying Band on Here: Anti-Flag
Band on here most likely to break-up: Authority Zero, I heard a song of show rest of comment 3+ Replies

Liberals are for economic control and for controlling large companies especially regarding workers rights and the environment, not complete control over everything, Conservatives are for control of society (censorship, anti gay marriage laws, abortion, drug laws, faith based agendas, the patriot act etc...) If you're going to say that liberal's are for complete control of our lives specify in what. Regarding punk having conservative values you shgopuld look beyond the economy. Anti commercialism is a big part of punk(yes there's something behind the mindless shouts of sellout) so socialism and the such go well with this, also it's very much for legalized drugs and is often anti religion. So there's my defence of liberals and it's "punkness" oh well just go out and vote for who you want (consider third party to). 1+ Reply

I wrote this letter to Mr. Graves, but it seems like a lot of you neo-conservative deuschebags should read it as well. Especially Mr. "I don't want my paycheck to pay for other people's problems," mother fucker..
Mr. Graves,
I recently read your article posted on http://www.intellectualconservative.com. The neo-conservative babbling you put forth is on par with that of other conservative "intellectuals" such as Bill O'Reilly and Rush Limbaugh (the only two assholes whom you probably admire more than the our fearless leader George W. Bush). Perhaps the only thing that differentiates you from your obviously misinformed and belligerent counterparts is that you are parading the same right-wing message in the name of punk rock, a label that has never been as abhorrently besmirched as what you have done with show rest of comment 2+ Replies

The rest of the World hates the U.S.
It's mostly because of Bush but also cuz you guys are think you're number 1 when you're actually like #8 which is still pretty good.
A few tips to get the world to like you:
1) Stop waving flags in everyone's faces, everytime I watch a movie or watch an american tv show, I'm ambushed with American flags, knock it off, no one else does that.
2) Stop hating France and Germany. Did you forget that France helped you become a country and saved your asses from the British. And don't go changing the name of French Fries to Freedom Fries. Do a little research and find out that french fries come from Belgium (which is a totally different country).
3) Stop invading people for oil, I know this is Bush and not you, but almost half of you voted for this idiot.
4) Get over the whole terrorist thing. It happened and those responsible should rott in show rest of comment 1+ Reply

You are all fucking stupid!!! First of all, why don't ya'll stop listening to crap and crying about how bad the government is or how bad President Bush is, stop living off your parent's money and go get a job. You are all a buch of fucking pussies. No, I'm sorry! You're all right! We should have let an evil dictator remain is power and should have sent all of you worthless fucks to live in under his regime so then maybe you would appreciate what it means to be free. If the morally challenged Clinton had gone to war against Iraq instead, you all would be sucking his dick under his desk saying in between spurts,"I think it is so cool that you have liberated Iraq, Mr. President. That shit is off the chain. After this you wanna smoke some pot I bought off this guy on welfare." So stop your fucking crying!! Besides, aren't there some trees that need to be hugged!!!
