Dr. Know out of short lived retirement

Some Dr. Know news just arrived on our doorstep from Mr. Brandon Cruz:

I know I said that we quit, but now that there has been the birth of 2 babies for Eric and Craig, Ismael and I have a new love of playing and a bunch of new material. So, Dr. Know is at it, again. We have gigs lined up with Fang and Oppressed Logic, T.S.O.L., and some other stuff, like the Nardcore Compilation 20th anniversary gig with Ill Repute, RKL, False Confession, The Missing 23rd, and a lot of other bands on July 17th in Oxnard. Here we go again, this time with a new label, Malt Soda and a new album. See you at the gigs.

Wow someone knows sarcasm when they see it I was just joking around b/c they just broke up and coincidentally they reform when the babies are born... it is funny when you put two nonrelated things in one sentence.... for example.... anybody else read the Jawbreaker "Dear You (Reissue)" review at pitchforkmedia.com. Pitchfork is 100% wrong.

Never take Pitchfork's punk reviews seriously, they hardly ever rate them over 7.5. Don't take their Radiohead reviews seriously as well, since Radiohead sucks ass musically and has pointless lyrics.

Eh...they're overly harsh, but I know where they're coming from. I LOVED Dear You when it came out, lost the cd somewhere along the line, then wound up listening to it again about a month ago. It just didn't grab me the same way it did back then. I think some albums are time-and-place-specific for me, and I just don't relate to it that much anymore.

i have one of these guys' cds. but the only reason i have it is because i found it in the bad brains section and asked one of the stoners at the music store if it was a solo album by dr. know the guitarist, which he replied "yes" to. There is a song on the cd called fist fuck and it reminds me of the fish fuck song gwar has on the short music for short ppl comp

dr. know is a band that has nothing to do with bad brains.....which if you ask me its kinda like telling your buddies, "Hey, lets name our new band Jello Biafra" and everyone thinks its great because they have never heard of Jello Biafra. Do you care about some band who does'n't even "KNOW" who Bad Brains were/are? what a bunch of dumbass's they were never that good anyway.....I suggest buying the Omega Sessions intead of this crappy band....who never had a clue. Brandons wife is also a total dawg.
