MP3s of two tracks from the upcoming Alkaline Trio/One Man Army split are now available courtesy of BYO Records. Alkaline Trio's contribution is named Dead and Broken, One Man Army's is TV Song.

This split is really, really good. If you liked the Hell Yes seven inch, or the HWM split, you will be happy with the Trio again. And the track posted has Jeff from Naked Raygun on it. How cool is that?

i've compared the two songs before, they do sound alike, but this is the trio, i mean how many times have you heard that riff from 'private eye', its in freakin 'queen' 'hell yes' and 'jaked on green...'

"Queen of Pain-" Good song. As for the rest of it, gah. I'm satisfied with the new song, though. Good Mourning was a little too contrived for me, and this seems to backpedal to mix nicely between the older stuff and GM. Oh, and Matt Skiba doesn't sound like he has an angry possum stuck in his throat.

On a related note, saw Alk3 on Punk Voter Thursday night. Skiba introduced the elusive imposter guitar player, whose name I have since forgotten. There's times when Skiba needs an imposter singer when performing live, he won't even attempt the exhuberant loud singing parts any more.

his voice sounds a shit load better then any song he sang on Good Mourning, Hes not letting it strain as much. I just don't understand why they did a split with One Man Army, ive never listened to them before the split, I heard a few songs on it. Matt is a lyrical genius, and its followed up by some political pop punk band with raspy voices. makes no sense.
