Boston's The Lot Six, having just finished a lengthy tour with The Distillers and The Icarus Line, will spend the entire month of May in Los Angeles. The band has been selected as the resident band for Indie 103.1 and Filter Magazine's Ruby Tuesday shows at The Key Club. You can find info on the free weekly shows at The Key Club's website.
In other Tarantulas Records news, the label has just released limited edition runs of The Bronx's self titled debut and The Distillers' Coral Fang on 140 gram vinyl. You can check out the goods at the label's mailorder site. The Explosion is currently working on their new record in Northern Idaho. They will be tracking throughout May and mixing in June for a planned October release on Tarantulas / Virgin. Tarantulas Records (20 comments)

If you're gonna buy those records buy them from Lumberjack. They have them for *much* cheaper than Tarantulas is selling them for [I think the Bronx is 9 and the Distillers is 11.50 or something]. -Scott

this so called indie station is owned by clear channel. fuck them, they are just trying to be edgier than kroq in l.a. by playing the clash and sex pistols, and modest mouse. they are really trying to be different, just like everybody else. they are a fraud. these hypocrites suck. the only true indie radio are the pirate stations

Bought the 140 gram vinyls of both for $25 and am loving it. You know when you use the word punk people come out the wood work to discuss how unpunk or punk a band is cause of the label or the sound. I personally enjoyed the albums and yes owning 3 copies of Coral Fang is a bit excessive but I bought the safe cover the day it came out won the original cover off this site along with an Xbox and now I own the limited 1000 press of Vinyl. If you don't support the distillers don't comment. You won't see their shows, you won't buy their music, and you don't know anything but hate so why do you even bother to comment? Isn't this essentially just a new way for assholes to bitch about stuff they know nothing about in the end. I don't know half the indie labels on this site nor do I care to. I enjoy the distillers and a lot of bands and if I don't like a b
