Reverend Horton Heat has signed with Chapel Hill, N.C. based indie label Yep Roc Records and will release a new record titled Revival on June 29th. The 15 track album was recorded at Last Beat Studio, only a block from where the band played their first show back in the mid-'80s. It was mixed by Ed Stasium, who's been on board producing the band's work since 98's Space Heater. The first pressing record will reportedly include a bonus DVD with three live tracks and an walking tour through the Deep Ellum neighborhood of Dallas, where the Reverend grew up.

I read this headline quickly and I thought it said they signed to THA R.O.C. AKA Roc-A-Fella Records, home of such greats as Dirt McGirt, Kanye West and such Mediocre-at-best's as Jay-Z. my bad.

On The Reverend Horton Heat live dvd they show him walking through that neighbourhood in Dallas. This is very good news though. The Reverend is the 2nd best show i've ever seen!

The Rev puts out an album on a diffrent label everytime. If you watch their DVD, the Rev himself (Jim Heath) talks about why they label hop and what significane it has to the band. I suggest checking out the DVD. Great live sound and a great set that can only be matched by purchasing a cheap ticket to their show and going yourself. | Features
