I loved Ribbons and Sugar, but I can't help but be a little disappointed in this ep. What happened to all the crazy, unpredictable song structures and odd time signatures? I will say the drumming and singing are fantastic throughout, but I just hope their next full-length is more complex than this.

if you think that this EP lacks unpredictable song structures and odd time signatures...maybe you should give it a few more listens...its pretty obvious that those two gatsby-ish elements are the foundation for this EP...

I just listened to the EP again. I'll agree that the song structures aren't as predictable as I thought they were (except track 2 which was verse/chorus/verse/chorus/bridge/verse/... come on!)... but there isn't one single odd time or time change on this entire ep. Except for track 3 which is in 6/8, the whole thing is in 4 throughout. Again, it's not bad, but it's just not up to the level set by Ribbons and Sugar.

I just got ribbons and sugar about a month ago, and was very impressed. I cant wait to see these guys this summer. www.thenjscene.com
