The vast liberal conspiracy at Fat has provided us with the track listing for the forthcoming second volume of the Rock Against Bush series. Scott reviewed the last one.

wow, all these tracks sound really really exciting, or really really boring. along with no doubt, you could ask that question about quite a few other bands. yellowcard, for example.
8dollarclarinetsolo (June 23, 2004)
this will be way better than the first one, unlike that one which had about 3 songs i like, i count at least 8 here

What's with all the live stuff on here? Boooo-urns to that!! Also, on the Caddies site it says their song is a new one called Sick Leave not a live version of No Hope. The disc looks pretty good but I'd rather see some rare or unreleased stuff instead of these live tracks. 2+ Replies

I don't really understand D4... Everyone praises them for being a throwback to old hardcore, but I can't get past the over-production and annoying vocals. It sounds like hard pop-punk. -BSD 10+ Replies

Hmm..wasn't Good Charlotte supposed to be on this? Not that them being left off is a bad thing... also Blink182 is listed as one of the 'punk voter' bands on punkvoter.org, so i thought they would have a song on here.... this doesn't look as good as the first rock against bush comp... 5+ Replies

I think this one won't be too bad, you can't go wrong with bands like rancid, the unseen, thought riot, bad religion, even greenday. I think the first one will probably be better, but i believe that what these bands are doing is hardcore. instead of complaining about our dumb ass government we should do something about it with the power that we have. oh, and for all you not so educated, idealistic people out there... PLEASE... please do not vote for Nader. he will NOT win no matter what, and instead he will end up splitting up the democratic vote and screwing us over... meaning bush will end up winning. ok I'm done now. 2+ Replies

As much as I loathe Fat Mike, his affiliation with Michael Moore (who, along with his leigon of retarded fans, will undoubtedly make the Conservative movement stronger with his inanity) and his inane attempt at a "cause" (his take on how people should go about voting is disturbing at best), the track listing here is impeccable. Sure, I'm seeing duds here and there, but that is to be expected from a comp intentionally encompassing as wide an array of rock music as possible. Besides, new tracks from Dillinger Four, the Bouncing Souls, Jawbreaker and others are reason enough to buy this record. I hate Fat Mike, I loathe his cause, but I must hear this record. Thank god for illegal downloads. 13+ Replies

Looks like a solid lineup once again, not everything will please everyone, but it's better than most comps anymore. The three live tracks sorta dissapoint me, if they sound good then I can let it slide, but I have a feeling they'll just offset the balance of the disc. - Kirby

I guess im the only one that loses a bit of respect for each band that releases a song on these records?
I really dislike this cult esque movement where if you are a "punk rawker" that you should vote democrat and blah blah blah. Its fueling ignorance throughout a generation that is already ignorant enough. I mean com'on, by purchasing this CD, supporting this CD, talking about this CD you are supporting punkvoter.com which is simply as bad as conservativepunk.com or fox news or any other one sided bullshit rhetoric spewing group.
I dont see why bands have to join up with this bullshit when they should be convincing people simply to vote, become informed, and learn about their choices and the impact the place on the world/environment.
And no, im not a conservative punk or anything of the sorts. Im a fucking human being. I dont have a party. I will be voting for Jo show rest of comment 9+ Replies

Modern Socialism does not mean exploitation of the middle class like in the former Soviet Union. I personally would way rather have a socialist government that caters towards the NEEDS of the majority, rather than have a religiously motivated extreme-conservative government that caters towards the WANTS of the minority upper class. Many of us will look back in 20-30 years and view Capitalism as exploitation of the middle class, exactly the way we view Communism under Stalin's wrath. Please stop comparing all socialist movements to that of the former Soviert Union! 1+ Reply

I don't get why Rancid is on this! They rarely have spoken about political views with the exception of anti war songs like Warsaw and Rwanda...there's probably more. My thing is Lars Frederiksen who is in Rancid on the last song on Viking he talks about his life: the drugs he's done, the booze, the hookers, etc...there is a line that contradicts them being on punkvoter.com. Here is is:
"...Aborted a baby and shed all my tears..." It seems that one of the big fights that Fat Mike is going for is that Bush is pro-life and Fat Mike hates that and says vote Kerry and pro-choice. I really can't think of a single song by Rancid that is for or against abortion but that Lars lyric would give them 1 point on the pro-life side. Also I don't get why Bouncing Souls are on this either because most of their music is positive and it is really hard to believe that they would
