Barsuk Records has announced that they will be releasing the first solo record from former Dismemberment Plan frontman Travis Morrison. The record, called Travistan, will be out on September 28th. Morrison has posted a number of demo MP3s on his website over the past few months; no word if any of them will actually be on the record or not.
Morrison's website also announces that full band shows in support of the solo record will begin this September in the Washington, DC area. Before then, Morrison has one solo show scheduled in Arlington, VA.

I like the D-Plan and all...but Morrison's cover of that Ludacris song is embarassing.

From the mp3s that I've heard I think this will be ok, the D Plan are one of my all time favorites. D Plan are on my list best bands to play a wedding, if you care, but you dont. The ludacris cover isnt that bad, its certainly not the best thing I've heard, but it doesn't deserve all the shit its taking, its was just for fun. | Features
