Billboard is reporting that the recording of Osaka Popstar and the American Legends Of Punk is back on track. It was on hold earlier this year as Osaka Popstar frontman John Cafiero compiled and directed the new Ramones DVD Raw. Cafiero is now back in the studio finishing the vocals. The entire record should be done by the end of the year and out in early 2005 on Misfits Records/Rykodisc.

As previously reported band is helmed by John Cafiero (Vocals) and backed by Marky Ramone of the Ramones, Dez Cadena of Black Flag, Jerry Only of the Misfits and singer/songwriter Daniel Johnston. Ivan Julian of Richard Hell & The Voidoids also contributes guitar, bass and piano to several songs, including covers of the Voidoid tunes "Blank Generation" and "Love Comes in Spurts."
