Power pop band formed in Stillwater, Oklahoma in 1998. The original band consisted only of vocalist/bassist Tyson Ritter and keyboard/guitarist Nick Wheeler. After the band was signed to Doghouse Records, the band added more musicians to their now four-piece lineup. The independent buzz around the self-titled debut had the band's debut picked up by major label Dreamworks, who went on to see the album reach #25 on the Billboard top 200.
