Originally called Persevere, Carry On were a straight edge hardcore band who formed in 1996 in Atascadero, California. The band changed hteir name prior to the release of their debut Stabbed in the Face EP in 1998. Vocalist Ryan George was the band's only constant member, as the lineup shifted frequently. The band played two final shows in early July 2005 at the in Corona, CA before disbanding. Former members of Carry On went on to play in a number of acts including Betrayed, Internal Affairs, Go It Alone, Terror, and Snake Eyes. Ryan George left the hardcore scene and formed Los Angeles pop–punk act the Adored.

Ryan George out of The Adored
