Los Angeles, California's Fear formed in 1977 and is still active today. The band, of which frontman Lee Ving has been the only constant, helped shape the sound and style of American hardcore punk. A favourite of the late comedian and actor John Belushi, the band gained national prominence after an infamous 1981 performance on Saturday Night Live.
Fear have released a number of albums including 1982's The Record, `85's More Beer, `95's Have Another Beer With FEAR and 2000's American Beer . The band also appeared on the famous punk documentary The Decline of Western Civilization .
