Hailing from Chicago, Alex White has released a number of projects showcasing a raw punk / blues sound influenced by vintage garage rock. Her band the Red Orchestra features Clone Defects members Wesley Kerstens on guitar and drummer / vocalist Edward Altesleben. Eric Villa plays bass for the group. White currently runs her own Missile X Records and has released a number of albums through In The Red.
White's projects have also included a joint record with the late Chris Playboy (Chris Saathoff) as well as the Hot Machines with members of the Ponies and the Baseball Furies. She is the founder of the Christopher Saathoff Foundation, following the death of her collaborator in car accident on February 13th, 2004.
