Formed in Bellingham, WA in 2003, Shook Ones draw heavily from the vein of mid-`90s East Coast melodic hardcore, specifically Lifetime and Kid Dynamite. After putting out a demo, the band released their first full-length, Sixteen, via Endwell Records in 2005. The band soon moved up to Revelation Records, who released the 3-song Slaughter of the Insole teaser 7" in early 2006 and the subsequent LP Facetious Folly Feat the following Halloween. In support of a Japanese tour, they released a split EP with Easel in early 2007, and parted ways with Revelation later that year.
