how is IIB trying to go "big time"?

I mean, they had just put out the s/t album which was well recieved, before that Disconnected was their most popular song. So they turn around making a totally ambitious album, and made it how they wanted it to sound. I think if anything that album was the opposite. If you wanted to go big, wouldnt you just keep doing what has been working? not make this expansive rock record?

You are way off...Ignorance Is Bliss is my favorite Face To Face album. That album was them showing off a little bit of their "unpunk" influences such as The Pixies...if anything, Reactionary was them trying to go big time. That album was a huge step backwards just to try to please the kids who couldn't understand Ignorance Is Bliss (i guess I'm the only one who sees the irony in that title...)

Not way off. "Ignorence" was made just as the emo thing was starting to get big, when the Get-Up Kids were outselling Face to Face. Trevor saw a trend, thought he could jump on it, and got his ass handed to him. And he was right about the trend--look at where the rest of the Vagrant roster has gone (run by a good friend of his). Oh well, better luck next time.
