    Agreed.

Still not sure why everyone gives these guys shit. They seem like really nice dudes, and they always support causes like this. I guess it's because they're on a major label...but honestly, they seem to be using the money they're getting from this major label to support benefits like this and others that have been posted about on this site.

But eh, to each his or her own.

Whatever...what you said would is only true if they gave away almost all their money, which we all know they don't. Putting out half a record in which they don't make money from isn't enough (though I know the label is making some considering out much they are charging stores to carry it-and doesn't the band own the label). I am not saying they have to give to charity, just don't pretend you are great for doing it. In fact, I have no doubt I give more to charity in time and money than these fucks if you base it on a percentage and that is what matters because who cares if the rich give away money they'll never miss or people who don't work do charity once in a while. P.S. one of the songs on the comp is called "Corportate Rock Still Sucks"...as in still even now (especially?) that they are a corporate rock band.

Not that it isn't better than nothing...I'll give them that...let's also remember they are mostly just collecting your money to give to charity, not their own. And if they did give their own it is like I said, should we be impressed when the rich give away money they won't miss? The new songs are probably just songs that their major label didn't think were good enough to make the cut for their album. And lets get off the genuine guys thing...these are the guys that pretended they would never do an encore because they were so punk yet it would just happen to be they would come out to do 2 more because this was such a genuine moment, and it would just happen to be they had saved up Die For Your Govt. and Captain Anarchy, their two biggest songs (this was years ago, because yes I was smart enough to see through their shit years ago. Hopefully you'll realize soon too).

There are bands out there who do this on a regular basis. Consider the meek for one runs their own org.
