except for the fact that they actually signed a deal with Columbia for less then what other lables were offering. And lets not forget that Mr. Brett was about to sell Epitaph to a major lable.

Actually, the deal offspring signed with sony was worth LESS than the contract epitaph had with them. They wanted out of epitaph, because Brett Gurewitz was apparentlt too controlling. Make sure you know what you're talking about before you talk shit.
