    it's ridiculous because it's ignorant. to actually live by such a code without becoming a hypocrite would be next to impossible if you want to participate at all in society. every company partners with other, larger companies. you can preach diy all you want, but when you're wearing the clothes that you wear, watch television or films, listen to the radio, or even purchase food from large grocery chains you're ultimately a hypocrite if you think you're remaining true to your DIY ideals. you're financially supporting powerful corporations that made their money by weilding their power over less powerful competitors.

    my point is that the "fuck majors" mentality is ridiculous because it's ultimately pointing the finger at one entity that employs the same business methods as other entities that you support. it's ignorant. that's not being jaded, that's understanding reality.
