    Kids, especially high school / junior high aged, are cruel. They feed off of making their own egos inflate and will say anything to get a laugh, even if it isn't true -- even if it isn't funny. People hate what they don't understand and can't comprehend. Bigotry is a disease.

    Have you ever heard of the lifeboat mentality? I'm sure you've been asked to play it in school or something. It's where you put yourself in a proverbial lifeboat with random people who have certain qualities, good and bad, and you have to throw one over. Which one is the logical choice?
    Say you have an african-american female lawyer, a convicted white rapist, an indian scientist, and a puerto rican boy with down's syndrome.
    Why does one human have more worth than another? Most would pick the rapist, and that's fair, but what about racists, bigots? Would they pick the rapist?
    Where do these rules for worth even come from?

    Hope that made sense and wasn't a bunch of philosophical crap.
