    Yeah, that is a bit strange.

    It would make much more sense to deposit cash as you go and keep a debit or credit card. Three grand is alot of cash to carry if you consider it to be a big financial setback to lose it. I mean, I wouldn't blame a huge band for carrying that kind of money since it's not as big of a risk relatively speaking.

    Ok, let's add this to the list of common sense rules for the road:

    1) Insure your gear and your van
    2) Don't carry large amounts of cash

    yeah, it makes a lot of sense to use a large bank that has branches everywhere. it would be easy to make deposits after shows into a place like bank of america and athen use an atm card to get out change for merch. i don't understand why bands don't do that. it's a hell of a lot more same than carrying around three grand.
