Seriously, I doubt that Gwen Stacy is making big money, but you think that the only people in music making money are in the top 10%? Really? You don't think that Fat Mike, Sufjan Stevens, Talib Kweli, Feist, Spencer Chamberlin, etc. aren't making money that is proportional to other people their age with the same degree of education? I beg to differ. None of those artists are signed to majors (save Talib) and they are all touring via huge bus... that's coming out of someone's pocket.
If these guys are doing so poorly, what were they doing with $3000 after only 3 weeks of touring? That's $250 a week for each band member! Minus gas/food, that's probably around $125 a week... that's what I make as a college freshman who works as an ice cream scooper... and I'm not "doing what I love".
