Posted by adam on Friday, November 29, 2002 at 10:27 AM (EST) writes us that MTV News (of all places) reported the following incident. At a November 23rd T.S.O.L. show at the House Of Blues in West Hollywood two people were shot. The veteran band was playing with the Adolescents, the Crowd and Los Villains when a dispute broke out at about 10:15. Two Orange County residents, 43 and 37 years old, were shot in the shoulder and jaw respectively. Both victims are in good condition. Authorities are perusing leads and have interviewed the victims, bands and club employees. T.S.O.L. was scheduled to return to the House of Blues on Sunday, but that show has been postponed. A new date has not yet been announced. Check out some full albums online Posted by adam on Friday, November 29, 2002 at 10:16 AM (EST)

Buddy from Senses Fail wrote us with some of the band's recording plans. They hope to be in the studio early next year (hopefully mid-January) to record a new LP. It will be comprised mostly of new songs and possibly a few from their previously released "From the Depths of Dreams EP." They will release the a single for "Centaur Ghoul" that will have two b-sides on it sometime soon. Check their site for more information. New MP3 from Devon Williams' new band Posted by adam on Friday, November 29, 2002 at 9:05 AM (EST)
We reported a little while ago that Osker's singer/guitarist Devon Williams has a new band. At the time it was called "Lung Fa Tang" but it seems that he's calling it "Fingers Cut, Mega Machine" now. The band has two MP3s up on their homepage, including the new song "Laughs Per Minute." They indicate on their site that they want to put out a 7" with four songs before the years end. No word on the label or release date. 'Rise Above' In-Store Show Posted by adam on Friday, November 29, 2002 at 8:56 AM (EST)
Ok, since people are just choking to death on the rumors here's what we know. "Break The Silence is a new band that features Chicago punk rock legend Mr. Precision [formerly of Rise Against/88 Fingers Louis] on guitar as well as 4 unknown yet extremely talented musicians. Stylistically they combine the speedy, intricate guitar work of bands like Strung Out and Death By Stereo with the aggression and screamo vocal stylings of Thrice and Grade. The band is so new they've only played one show and recorded a couple of boombox demos that are now available in mp3. The band has been writing vigorously and plans to record a full length album in February despite having no record deal yet." Some random AFI news Contributed by PunkcoreKid. The issue will be on sale December 3rd and this time AFI is on the cover for "Most Anticipated 2003". Also, November 20th was Davey's birthday, so a late happy birthday to him. And in case you didn't already know, http://www.vans.com is selling an "old skool" AFI shoe.
