Tired of Dilbert, "hang in there kitty" or some obnoxious puppies taking up perfectly good image space on your office or home calendar? Well, what better way to count through the 365 days of the year than an oi!/punk calendar?
No hablas ingles? No problemo! You can get a spanish version too. Featured are pictures from Sham 69, Blitz, Last Resort, Sex Pistols, The Business, The Blood, 999, Uk Subs, The Adicts, Anti Nowhere League, Cock Sparrer, Cockney Rejects, The Exploited, The Crack, Red Alert, Buzzcocks, Klasse Kriminale, Peter and the Test Tube Babies, Angelic Upstarts and more. If you counted more than 12 bands, that's because this is a 2007/2008 calendar. When 2007 runs out, flip it over and you have 2008.

Sweden's Raised Fist have again cancelled their planned Canadian tour dates in support of Sound of the Republic. They posted the following statement:
Alle has got some serious problems with his voice. He got it during the Australian tour already but we all thought he would recover well in time for the Canadian tour.
He's been treated with antibiotics. But unfortunately the problems remain the same and we can't take the chance to fly over the band for this tour, without being 100% sure that the band can perform.
This is a disaster for us all. It's a disaster for all the local promoters, it's a disaster for the band. AND it's a disaster for all the Raised Fist fans in Canada!! But please keep up the hope and the sprit, Raised Fist will hit Canadian soil again. Third time lucky!!! We are looking at doing the dates in February if possible.
We are very sorry for all the hassle and inconvenience this may cause our fans and promoters!
Of course this again puts our ticket giveaway on hold. We'll bring it back for the third try when the time comes.

So my man Terry Morrow from Chicagoland Orgcore trio Ryan’s Hope told me that his band was joining Zox, Epitaph young guns the Matches, Australia's the Living End and new post Blink-182 project +44 for a shindig this weekend in Milwaukee. I told him that there was no way the Hope could play that show... not unless we could send a few lucky readers along for the ride.
So are you free this Saturday, December 2nd? Want to go to a rock show? Want some free Punknews schwag? If so then by all means click below and let us know!

I've been getting lots of messages asking when I'm going to post new songs. I promise very soon. I've got about 18 tunes I'm working out. I'm recording them in my apartment...so it's a bit of a process. I'm also gathering some guest musicians to come down on these tracks with me.
In any event....sometime in the spring/summer.
You know those records that are just perfect for a hot summer night?
well I'm hoping this will be of them.
I plan on have a website where you can download my entire album for free with lots of other cool stuff.
I've never made money making music....why start now?
None More Black released their sophomore full-length, This Is Satire, earlier this year.

A brave soul known only as Sallad and bearing an email address from the Union Label Group is in the process of creating a database of "DIY Venues" for people to connect with. In his/her's words:
After some time working with in the normal music industry, I got really burned out with it. I realized someone should try to get a database together with a list of functional DIY venues. I'm looking for people that don't want to fuck with Riders, Guarantees, Agents, Labels, Promoter cuts, etc.
I know that there's no better feeling in the world than being in a basement to see some great touring bands, donating whatever you can scrounge up, maybe drinking a beer or two at the show and having a great time.

Kerrang Magazine has decided to make a list of what they think are the top 50 best punk albums of all time. Though the magazine's choices are sometimes controversial, most of the inarguably important records easily made the list, including contributions from the Sex Pistols, Fugazi, Stooges, Rancid, Stiff Little Fingers, The Clash, Nirvana, Dead Kennedys and Minor Threat as well as some more controversial fodder like Blink-182, Green Day, Get Up Kids and AFI.
